How do I buy?

Please read our HOW TO BUY pictorial guidelines that are specifically designed by focusing user-friendly approach through which you will know how to buy online very conveniently.

What is P&D’s purchase policy?

Our purchase policy is “first pay first served”.

What is “first pay first served” policy?

We favor “first pay first served” policy for customers, which means customer who made the very first payment, shall have the entitlement of purchase. For customers who may fail to ‘first pay first served’ purchase entitlement due to the order or relatively global time difference, we sincerely apologize them and wish them a very good luck in their next orders.

In accordance of the “first pay first served” policy, the very first payment from Buyers shall be accepted and other following payment in pipeline (if occurred) shall be refunded to loosing Buyer or alternatively shall be offered to purchase any desired vehicle (in replacement) for the value of paid payment.

What is as-is basis of purchase?

P&D sells vehicles on ‘AS-IS’ condition. Specifically vehicles are sold as how they appear and are described in our website. ‘AS-IS’ means that vehicles to be sold in the exact state, which they are, appear in pictures or mentioned in assessment sheet.

I cannot buy online because of some network problems?

If you have problem in buying online, please let us know through our feedback form or email us at sales@pnd-auto.com with your email address and quote the Product no. of vehicle that you are aiming to buy so that we could proceed your purchase immediately.

Can I request for the vehicle that is not in virtual showroom?

If you do not find your desired vehicle(s) in virtual showroom then no worries, we flexibly offer to arrange all sorts of pre-owned vehicles which we may or may not have available in our virtual showroom, but always you can order or inquire by using “Vehicle Order Form” in our website anytime any vehicle which enables our customers to buy the exact vehicle that they desire. We will then come to you with the prices and related details for your suitability.

Can I buy any vehicle (model & specification) from your website?

Yes you can. Nevertheless, we do not guarantee if the vehicle is allowed or forbidden to import in your country. You shall order with your full discretion and knowledge. We recommend you to investigate first of your country import regulations. If you are not sure, please contact our customer service department at sales@pnd-auto.com and we will guide you accordingly.

Can I cancel the vehicle I bought?

Yes, you can cancel the vehicle you bought if shipping has not been arranged. A cancellation fee will apply as per our sales terms article no. 11 in accordance of which you will be liable to pay 20% of invoice value. Also, cancellation of a vehicle may affect further purchase from us.

When can I confirm my purchase?

We will reserve your order by receiving 100% payment of invoice amount. When you place an order, Proforma Invoice will be issued or generated automatically (in case of online ordering), which will be the proof of your confirmed order. We will send you payment confirmation by email as soon as we received your payment.

Can I have an extra key for my vehicle?

No, we are afraid to say that we do not duplicate the keys.

Can I add more vehicles to old order?

No, we are afraid to say that you should order again. Only one vehicle can be bought at one time.

Do you supply Left Hand Drive Vehicles?

Yes we do. All you have to do is fill out the “Vehicle Order Form” and let us know your requirements.

  Invoice

When and how do I receive an invoice?

For customers ordering online, will receive an electronic Proforma Invoice (online) right away after order. Then, after full payment once we shipped your vehicle(s), one hard copy of invoice will be sent to you with other shipping documents through courier.

What is Proforma Invoice and why do I need it?

Proforma Invoice is the pre-shipment invoice once the vehicle is purchased. It is bill of payment before shipment that you will be needed to present your bank so as to transfer the payment.

Can I receive a shipping invoice by fax?

Yes, you can if necessary. Please contact at sales@pnd-auto.com to inform us.

What is P&D payment policy?

P&D payment policy is “pay as you buy”.

What is P&D payment term?

Buyer shall pay 100% within 5 days of Proforma Invoice through T.T Remittance (Wire Transfer), Bank Draft, Travelers Cheques or Western Union (letter of credit shall not be allowed). Buyer shall confirm through email or fax bank transcript within 48 hours to us, otherwise we will cancel the purchase and Buyer will be charged a cancellation fee, which is 5% of invoice amount.

How do I trust you to pay 100% in advance?

Our status in Japanese banks is very good. Moreover, we are also the registered members of JUMVEA (The Japan Used Motor Vehicle Export Association).

What is JUMVEA?

The Japanese Government recognized JUMVEA (Japanese Used Motor Vehicle Exporters Association) maintains a member list of companies which "was created to address this problem (of poor quality cars and dealers), being composed of used car exporters of excellent credentials and high credibility".

Their aim is to give membership to those companies, which show their reliability and service over time, so if you are particularly worried about trust then look for a company with this accreditation. You can check the list of members on the JUMVEA website, and accredited members will proudly display their membership on their website.

I am not experienced, how can I transfer money to you?

We recommend you to contact your bank and let them know what you want to do; they will surely guide and help you. For your information, Forex Exchange Company also offers favorable rates and services accordingly.

I am not experienced, what if (after order or shopping or purchase) I need time more than 48 hours to forward you bank confirmation as it may take time to contact with bank?

Are there any bank charges while I am transferring the amount?

Yes, please bear in mind that there will always be bank charges that you will pay. Thus please bear in mind the approximate expense US$25-US$50.

I have had sent the full amount for vehicle I ordered, what should I do next?

Once you pay, please inform us and send us the copy of your bank transfer slip so that we can check here accordingly. Once we received the full payment, the vehicle will be allotted to you and we will let you know the order status. Documents will be sent to you by courier within 10 working days from the date of shipment.

I paid in full but my vehicle has not been sent?

Once you pay, you must get the receipt of acknowledgement from us via email. After the acknowledgement, if there is delay please keep check your status on our website through “Order Tracking” and at your request we also inform you the current status. The unusual delay may occur because of shipping schedule or lack of available space in ship.

I have sent the payment, will I receive payment notification?

Yes, once we received the payment from you, we will inform you within 3 days of receipt as an acknowledgement of payment receipt.

I have sent the amount but the vehicle has not been sold in website?

Yes, it true. Once you order you must see “Reserved” text mention with the vehicle, that mean the vehicle is reserved for you, however, the vehicle will not be removed from the virtual showroom until we get the payment from you within 48 hours of order. As per our sales terms please note that our purchase policy is “first pay first served’. Once we get the payment from you, we will send a notification to you.

I paid the amount and then found out that the vehicle has already been sold?

As per our sales terms please note that our purchase policy is “first pay first served’ which monitors the very first payment we get without prejudice. This means that it could be happened as some other customer might have paid first and we get that payment before yours and that reflects the system of privilege. Normally it does not happen if you at least send us the bonafide signed or certified copy of your bank transfer transcript or statement within 48 hours. However, if this unusual case occurs, you will be offered various options as follows,

  1. You will be offered the somehow same vehicle that we can always arrange for you.

  2. You will be offered to choose or order any vehicle on the same value you transferred (Note that if there is any shortfall you owe to P&D then you must clear that before shipment, and alternatively if P&D owe you the balance because of overpayment, we will transfer you the balance).

  3. You will be offered to have your paid amount back i.e. refund of same amount & currency that you transferred.

Thus, you will have all option in your hand. Please feel free to share with us. We apologies for any inconvenience if occur due to our purchase policy. You could send us your bonafide signed or certified copy of your bank transfer transcript or statement through fax or scanned copy through email.

What are FOB, C&F and CIF Prices?

CIF (Cost/Insurance/Freight)

This is a comprehensive shipping term, which includes the following:

  1. Price of the good (car, motorbike, truck etc)

  2. Japan-side procedure costs (in-land transportation, customs & shipping procedure, administration, inspection, documentation etc.)

  3. Marine insurance (cost depends on car value)

  4. Ocean freight (this cost is the same cost that shipping companies quote Fuji to ship the good)

C&F (Cost/Freight)

This is the same as above however excluding the marine insurance:

  1. Price of the good (car, motorbike, truck etc)

  2. Japan-side procedure costs (in-land transportation, customs & shipping procedure, administration, inspection, documentation etc.)

  3. Ocean freight (this cost is the same cost that shipping companies quote Fuji to ship the good)

FOB (Free On Board)

In this shipping term, the customer pays the ocean freight to the destination port shipping agent. This largely depends on the shipping agent & destination ports and thus shipper is not responsible for any ocean freight and insurance. This shipping term only includes the following:

  1. Price of the good (car, motorbike, truck etc.)

  2. Japan-side procedure costs (in-land transportation, customs & shipping procedure, administration, inspection, documentation etc.)
What are the prices shown in virtual showroom?

The prices shown in virtual showroom are FOB.

What is my total price?

Calculator is provided in the website through which you can calculate your C&F or CIF prices even with your local import duty, taxes and any local cost that should you need to estimate the final price of your vehicle with respect to your country procedures. While ordering, you will also be ask to choose the mode of prices you want and shipping type such as RO-RO (PCC) or Container and then import expenses to add in your invoice. Thus you will be provided with several options then it will be totally yours choice of which price you prefer and which shipping type you prefer.

Yes, we do volume discounts, which means more you buy less you pay. For details please contact us at sales@pnd-auto.com.

  Shipping & Delivery

When do I receive my vehicle?

We arrange shipment as soon as your payment is confirmed. However, regardless of our best efforts, delivery term will vary according to your country (or destination port), shipping company, or other unpredictable conditions. Once we ship your vehicle we will let you know or you can see the delivery status in “Order Tracking” section in “Customer Tools" menu of our website.

Which port(s) can I ship to?

While shopping, you have mentioned your discharge port(s) preference and thus accordingly when placing your order online, the order form will contain the port preferred by you. If you are ordering by fax or e-mail then please write down the ports preferences you wish to ship to. If the port is not available, we will prepare an invoice for the closest port.

Do you do any type of container shipment?

Yes, we can do any type of container shipment. For your information, container shipment (especially for a single vehicle) is fairly expensive than PCC/RO-RO shipment.

Can I request arranging for container service?

Yes, but please bear in mind that it will affect the freight charge, as freight charge will be applied to the whole container, which might increase your cost as compare to RO-RO shipment. For your information, container shipment (especially for a single vehicle) is fairly expensive than PCC/RO-RO shipment.

What is RO-RO shipment?

RORO or ro-ro are acronyms for Roll On/Roll Off, describing a significant feature of a ship designed to carry wheeled cargo such as automobiles, trailers or railway carriages. This is in contrast to lo-lo (lift on-lift off) vessels which use a crane to load and unload cargo.

RORO vessels have built-in ramps which allow the cargo to be efficiently "rolled on" and "rolled off" the vessel when in port. While smaller ferries that operate across rivers and other short distances often have built-in ramps, the term RORO is generally reserved for larger ocean-going vessels.

Various types of RORO vessels include ferries, cruiseferries, cargo ships, and barges. A true RORO's ramps can serve all of the vessel’s decks; otherwise it is a hybrid type. New automobiles that are transported by ship around the world are often moved on a large type of RORO called a Pure Car Carrier (PCC) or Pure Car Truck Carrier (PCTC

Can I arrange shipping myself?

Yes, you can arrange shipping by yourself. But, still FOB charges will be applied and we must inform you that it will be pretty difficult and stressful for you if you intend to arrange shipping yourself.

What are ETD and ETA?

ETD: Estimated time of departure, ETA: Estimated time of arrival.

How fast can you ship my vehicle?

Most of our vehicles in virtual showroom have already “deregistration documents” so depending on the shipping schedule we can start arranging the shipment next day we confirm your payment. However, if you order specially “special order” through Vehicle Order Form then certainly one week will be added to arrange all the documents ready. Moreover, ocean freight time depends on the destination where you want to ship your vehicle and shipping company.

How do I find my vehicle-shipping schedule?

In “Customer Tools” menu, there is a “Order Tracking” menu in our website where you will be asked your order reference number that must have been given to you online by us while you ordering. Thus, by using the reference number you can track your shipment or we will also inform you. Moreover, in our “information” menu, you can see shipping schedule of any shipment by clicking on the links of shipping companies provided in our website.

What shipping documents will I receive?

  • Bill of lading

  • Shipping Invoice

  • English translation of de-registration certificate.

  • Marine Insurance Certificate (This document is only included if you select CIF as the shipping term)

Depending on each customer's destination port, we will provide additional needed documentation. We are aware of 'third party' certificates such as JAAI, SGS etc. It is the customer's responsibility to pay necessary charges for these additional documents. We will automatically invoice these fees. We will also honor requests for any other documents that may be necessary.

How many cars you can load to 40’HC container?

We can ship 4 small vehicles (i.e. sedan, hatchback, sports cars etc.) or 3 medium vehicles (one of them can be large). For example, we can load 3 Mitsubishi Pajero to 40’HC.

How much is the freight to my country?

A calculator is given in our website. The calculator enables you to know the ocean freight to your country for each vehicle. Please note that the freight is based upon current exchange rate, and we reserve the right to change the rate according to the current relative adjustment.

What documents I receive after ordering?

You will receive the following documents,

  1. Proforma Invoice: Your proforma invoice will be generated electronically on website when you submit an order, so you can print it out and remit the amount mention in proforma invoice. After order, you can also download proforma invoice from ‘Order Tracking’ section when you enter your reference number.

  2. Payment Confirmation: We will email you a payment confirmation after we received payment from you.

    Once we received the payment, we will send the rest of the required documents by courier within 10 days of vessel or ship departure from Japan.

  3. Bill of Lading

  4. Invoice

  5. English translation of de-registration certificate

  6. Marine Insurance Certificate (This document is only included if you select CIF as the shipping term)

What is de-registration certificate?

De-registration certificate also called “Export Certificate”. Since July 2005, motor vehicle exporters must be registered shippers and obtain an EXPORT CERTIFICATE for every shipped vehicle. Export Certificates are issued after individual vehicle background screening and approval from the Transport Ministry. As a result, illegal cars cannot go through Custom clearance. Also, unauthorized exports such as by private owners, eBay/Yahoo auctions and ordinary car shops are a thing of the past. An Export Certificate guarantees your import is legal and safe, and was acquired and exported, through the services of an authorized member of the trade.
Bilingual (Japanese/English) EXPORT CERTIFICATE is mandatory since July 1st 2005. It is required for custom clearance and to exit Japan, as well as for custom inspection at entry, and registration purposes in the destination country.

Can I track my documents once they have been dispatched?

We use FedEx, EMS or DHL for overseas courier services. Once we dispatch documents, we will give you the tracking number so that you could trace your documents. You will be able to see your tracking number in ‘Order Tracking’ section while you as a member logged in our website.

I do not have order tracking number?

You must have not ordered or purchased with us before.

How can I get tracking number?

Tracking number is same as order number or invoice number that we assign as per order by you. No matter how many vehicles you buy, the distinctive tracking number will be assigned each vehicle. Please check your invoice where you will see the number like AHRU 0153265 061102.

I have lost my tracking number?

Please let us know your proforma invoice number or date of order with your full name, country, vehicle no. or chassis number.

I cannot see documents online in order tracking page?

Straightway after order, you will see your order and proforma invoice. For the rest of the documents, please allow 2-3 days to get uploaded once you ordered.

I have not received the documents?

It may happen in following conditions,

  • You haven’t paid in full.

  • The delivery address you given us might have errors.

  • Your documents may be on its way, just check through tracking number.
I have lost my documents?

Please let us know. We will deliver you the documents again as best as we could do. There will be an Admin fee of JPY20, 000 charged to produce the duplicate documents.

I want to change my (consignee) details and address in Bill of Lading that is issued already?

It is possible, but you will be charged a fee of JPY5, 000.

Which documents do I need for customs clearance?

Required documents for customs clearance are different in some countries, but Bill of Lading, Export Certificate (or de-registration certificate) and Shipping Invoice are usually necessary in all customs. Please contact for details to your local customs. You are always welcome to contact us and well will then help you to get you the proper guidance of import procedure.

What is PSICQV?

PSICQV is Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate of Quality Vehicles issued by us for FREE, only for the vehicles fall in High Quality Premium category. PSICQV assures the satisfactory quality of vehicle in High Quality Premium category that customer wishes to enjoy.

Do you inspect and renew used vehicles?

Yes we do for High Quality Premium vehicles in virtual showroom through handy and well-organized system. All High Quality Premium category vehicles in virtual showroom have been inspected and undergone through special quality service. Should you wish to specially order through Vehicle Order From and require special quality services then please contact us for your special requirements.

Other vehicles in virtual showroom those fall in categories of High Quality Standard and Normal Quality are available for sales on as-is seen basis only.

What is High Quality Premium, High Quality Standard & Normal Quality categories?

High Quality Premium Vehicles are vehicles in excellent condition that have undergone through a special quality service by P&D and accordingly offered for sales on as-is basis. Vehicles fall in High Quality Premium category includes vehicles equals to and above 4-quality rating with the special quality service of equipments inspection and cleaning.

High Quality Standard Vehicles are vehicles in excellent condition but have not undergone through a special quality service by P&D and accordingly offered for sales on as-is basis. Vehicles fall in High Quality Standard category includes vehicles equals to and above 4-quality rating with the special quality service of equipments inspection and cleaning.

Normal Quality Vehicles are vehicles in good condition without P&D special quality services and accordingly offered for sales on as-is basis. Normal Quality Vehicles includes vehicles below 4-quality rating.

You can contact us by email at sales@pnd-auto.com, or by phone or fax. Email is preferable. For telephone communication, we recommend you to bear the international time difference in your mind. Our office is open from 9:00AM to 6:00PM Monday to Friday. Please note Japan is 8 hours ahead of GMT.

I have not received an email reply from you?

Usually you will hear from us within 24 hours during the business week and within 48 hours on weekends. However, if there is an additional delay, please feel free to email us again. Please remember that we are all working on different time zones and that these time differences are usually the reason for delays.
